farmers Union Wl Build Model Structure at Plainvile, Plainville, April 15.—The members of the Farmers Union have under taken the erection of a modern ele vator of ample capacity that will 20 a long ways toward solving the wheat market problem at Plainville. The contract has been set for a modern grain elevator to the building firm of R. M. Van Ness Construction company of Lincoln and Fairbury, Nebr. The main structure will be $4 36 feet on the ground and 78.8 above the foundation with 2% foot ‘pits for dumps. The capacity will be 50,000 bushels. It will be equipped with a 29 horse power oil engine, cleaner, feed mill, car puller, car shovel and a man: lift at the top of the elevator. There will be a warehouse 18x40 and aj detached office. ‘This will be the first time in the history of Plainville that the farmers of this vicinity have been in a posi tion to handle their own grain crops, with any degree of assurance that a day's business Would not cramp them for storage capacity. To the building of this elevator it would seem they are going at the right thing In the right way. With a 50,000 bushes ea rly and proper management there is no reason why the wheat growers of this Vicinity should not be able to market their product to the best pos sible advantage.
