The IODe and Eastern Railroad Company was incorporated yesterday with a capital stock of $1,000,000, of which $14,000 is subscribed. The purpose of the company is to build a road fourteen miles in length from lone to a point on Sutter Creek. The directors and the amount of stock they have subscribed are Jackson Dennis, $3500; Wilford Dennis, $2500; J. J. Fagan, $1000; William Pardy, $1000; R. E. Wallace, $2500; H. H. Ferns, $2500, aud S. C. Scheeline, $1000. The company intends to construct a single-track railroad from lone to Jackson and thence to Sutter Creek. Electricity is to be the motive power. The length of the road is estimated at fourteen miles.— Call, April 13.From this we infer that the Amador Traction Company which has applied for a franchise from the board of supervisors, is out of the race, inasmuch as Jackson Dennis, who was named as general manager of the other corporation, is the mover of the more recent organization.
