St. Werburoh’s Handbell Binoebs.—A meeting of the St. Werburgh’s handbell ringers was held ouTuesday evening, the president (the Rev. Henry Deuing) presiding. The secretary reported respectingthe recent concert to the effect that there was wow a good balance in hand for procuring additional bandbeUs. A pleasant feature in the evening’s proceedings was the presentation to Mr. C. Faraoicc of his enlarged photograph, handsomely framed. Mr.Paradice founded the St. Werburgh’s handbell ringers in 1884. The inscription on the portrait was as follows“ Presented to Mr. C. Pradice, founder ofthe St. Werburgb’s handbell ringers, by the members of the society, as a small taken of their esteem and regard. Rev. H. Dening, rector of St. Werburgh’s,j April, 1897.” The rector and members afterwards \ adjourned to the belfry, where several lessons in I churcb bell ringing were gone through.
