A few sales have been made, some uf them of considerable consequence.The McGee* farm, one of tho finest places in tin* comity, consisting of 230 acres of rich bottom lam), located about three miles east of tho city, was sold tor $15,000 by Myers it Son, to Wtn. Scbaake, a German farmer who came out from Illinois for the purpose of purchasing a farm. Mr. Schaako will be a valuable addition to the farming community of this county. He isan experienced and .successful farmer, who knows how to conduct such a place in such a manner that it will he a credit to the neighborhood, and bring sure and quick profit lo himself.Throe lots in Haskell Place have been sold by tho proprietnrs to F. M, Nelson, of Burlingame, for $1,200. A number of other investors arc looking at properly in this addition, and will probably purchase in a short time.No other sales ofjmporlance were reported, ’although it is probable that others were made; as several were almost clorc l at 3 o’clock.
