Gen. ‘Commander announces that the Equestrian Statue of the late Lieut. Gen N. B. Forrest, has been received in Memphis, Tenn., and th-.it Tuesday, May 16, 1905, has been designated as the time, and Memphis the place, wiiere the aforesaid Monument i- to be unvailed and dedicated.He therefore urgently requests all Confederate Veterans, who served under Gen. Forrest, at any time during the war between the States, and are now resident in the State of Mississippi, to attend and participate in the ceremonies incident to the occasion and to that end, requests each and every Forrest veteran of Mississippi to report his name, former Company and regiment together with his present post-office address, by letter to these headquarters, without delay and at same time, state whether he expects to attend on the occasion referred to.The Staff of the Brig. Gen. Commanding, has not been changed since the Confederate Reunion in Memphis in 1901, and each member of said Staff is charged to give all such aid and assistance as possible to make the contemplated reunion a success.Address all communications to P.
