season.Justice of the Peace James Jarvis, of West Chester, about a year ago tendered his resignation to the Town Board ; but every member, with the exception of the Supervisor, was averse to its acceptance. Nevertheless, Justice Jarvis has since declined to perform his official duties. At the late election for town officers, Thomas Wilson received thirty-eight votes for Justice of the Peace to fill the vacancy, and he has filed his official bond and taken the oath of office.
