SHADWELL.Saturday week Achoo and Assan, two Chinamen, were charged by D. Howe with'stabbing him with a knife. The prosecutor lives at Twine-cou'rt, Shadweil. The day preceding lie saw the prisoners run up the court after a black man, Achoo having a knife in jiis hand. The prosecutor cried cut, “ ShameI” upon which Assan came up to him, and said twice, “ What yon say?” and got hold of him by the collar. Achoo then came behind him, and stabbed him twice with the knife. He was going'to repeat the blow, when a woman called out “ Murder!” He then wrenched himself from Assan's hold, and ran down the court, but was followed by Achoo to stab him again ; after running some time, the prisoner turned back, and witness went home. This evidence was corroborated by C. Hadderley. Howe’s wounds were very desperate, one is on the hack' part of his left thigh, and the other in his h ick ; they are two inches and a half deep, ami very wide. The prisoners were fully committed.
