Mrs. Louise M. Ross, 86, the wife of Charles J. Ross of 1147 Main St.,, died Tuesday of a heart attack she had suffered the day previously. Mrs. Ross was a pioneer resident of La Crosse. As the daughter of Stephan and Sophia Gantert, she was born in La Crosse in 1868. On May 3, 1892, she married Charles Ross. Survivors include her husband and three sons, Romeo C. and Ori of La Crosse and J. Max Ross of Rockford, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. ‘Sophia Kennedy of La Crosse and ‘Mrs. Helen Weissenberger of La Crescent; 11 grandchildren; 20 1 great-grandchildren and one great- great-grandchild. Mrs. Ross was a lifelong member of St. Joseph’s Cathedral parish. A Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Schumach er Funeral Home and funeral services are set for 8:30 a.m. Thursday at the Schumacher Home and at 9 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Cathedral. Burial will be in the Catholic Cemetery. The Rev. Louis Paquette will officiate.
