Candidates Will Report At Field For Initial WorkShoes of Eight Graduating Seniors Must Be Filled By AspirantsBy MERLYN JAHRSpring football practice on the North Dakota State college campus is scheduled to begin next Monday afternoon, when Coach Casey” Finnegan brings his prospective 1933 squad to the practice fiekj behind the new physical education. building to commence work on the formation of another conference championship team to follow in the footsteps of last year's titleholders.During this spring practice Casey” and his helpers will be confronted with the task of replacing several first-team men lost by graduation, Walter Schoen-felder, Merlyn Jahr, Bob Paris, Clarence Omess, Viv McKay, Joe Selliken, Maurice Ellingson, and Jimmie Ber-dahL However, with about fifty men expecting to report, the replacement of men becomes a somewhat lighter job.Must Rebuild LineThe greatest problem, at present, is to rebuild the formidable forward wall of three years’ standing, which has been undermined by the loss of Scho-enfelder, Jahr, Orness, and Paris. The toughest gaps to plug are the tackle positions where it is planned to work n Roman Meyers, Herb Pescbel, and Roy Platt. Other candidates for vacant positions are Kenneth Pirnie and Jimmie Thompson, reserve tackles, and Sam Dobervich, freshman star.
