Henson Acquitted. Circuit Clerk L. M. Henson, of But ler county, who was tried the past week at Poplar Bluff, in the circuit court, on the charge of murdering 8. M. Adama, about a year ago, was acquitted by the jury. The trial began last Friday and the jury got the case Tuesday evening at supper time. They were out barely an hour and returned a unanimous ver dict, having no trouble to agree therein. The state was represented by Prosecutor Joe Davidson, assisted by attorneys J. H. Rainey, of Greenville, and Lew ‘Thomasson, of the Bluff. The defenses was conducted by Messrs. Mosley, of Dexter, Atkinson, of Doniphan, and Phillipa Phillips and Judge Doom, of the Bluff. Henson is yet to be tried on the charge of murdering old man Hock, who was also killed in the same fight in which Adams and young Henson, a brother of the circuit clerk, were killed, but this trial will not come up until later cea oneeer r no way mixed up in the fight.
