Eiq. first Vice President, in the Chair. .After six persons had been duly recommended in writing and elected ine i.bcra of the Institution, the Report of the Committee of Management was read and adopted aa followsKEPORT.The Committee of Management of the Kingston Mechanics’ Institution beg leave respectfully to make the fallowing as their Report, up to the end of the present Quarter:The affairs of the Institution remain nearly the same as at the date of the last Report, with this gratifying exception, that tho number of members has increased from 33 to 76. This statement forms the best evidence of the stability of the Insti'utinn.The measures to obtain a valuable addition to tho Library and a Chemical Apparatus for tho use of the Institution, have been necessarily delayed during the winter—there being no means to procure them in that season, unless at great expense. These important acquisitions, however, we expect to be realized during ilie month of May.The Institution ia ac«in indebted to the generosity of its friends for a number of Book* and Geological Specimens presented since the last Report.Your Committee, in conclusion, have deemed it advisable to publ sh a lisi of ihe Member* of the Institution.All which is respectfully submitted.Committee Rooms, K.
