24 arrested in drug raid : includes youth from areaI A Muscatine area youth was 7 included among 24 persons ar-r rested in a massive predawn ; raid by Quad City authorities which climaxed a three-month I investigation into the selling* Of drugs illegally.* William Thomas Einfeldt, *18, of rural Durant, was ; charged, with one count of de-* livery of a schedule one drug ; and three counts of delivery of- a schedule three drug. A pre- liminary hearing has been set : for Einfeldt at 1:30 p.m. May v 16 in Davenport Municipal r Court.Bond was set at $25,900.Charles Wright, Davenport police chief, and William (Blackie) Strout, Scott county sheriff, who directed the massive operation called it “the biggest drug bust in this area in a long time.”1 “These are the people we want to get more than anything else-the ones who are selling for profit-the leeches,”. Strout said.- Nearly 200 law enforcement officers fanned out across Davenport and Bettendorf and -neighboring Rock Island in the coordinated raid.- Wright and Strout said six automobiles, three revolvers, $3,000 in cash and several items suspected of being drug 'paraphaneka were seized, along with an undeterminedquantity of “substances” believed to be marijuana, heroin and other controlled drugs.Others facing charges from the raid are: Dan Zeb Collins, 58, Richard Manuel Dickerson, 19, Kevin Eugene Dodson, 20, Calvin Edward Lee, 19, Gary Lynn Miller. 1®, Robert Norman Moore Jr., 18, Bruce Gregory Nebinger, 18, David: Charles Riberdy, 21., James Edward Stock, 19, James Willie Townsend, 2ii, James Neff Wells, 29, Larry Eugene Bender, 25, Ronnie Arthur Dean, 18, Richard Leon' Engebret* son 21, Steven Allen Evans, 23, Dorothy Roundtree, 32, Samuel Eieheiberger, 25, Thomas R. Skelley, 31, David Edgar Williams, 18, all of Davenport; Jonathon Wayne Batten, 19, Bettendorf; Steven R. Smith, 20. Green Rock, III.Six juveniles also arrested had their cases transfered to juvenile court. They are: Dino James Anton, 18, Noland PauV O’Boyle, 17, Herbert Everett Reynolds III, 17, Thomas Edward Mullenix 17, Terry Sly-ter. 17, all of Davenfort, and Darla Dandridge, 15, Bettendorf.At least 12 other persons are being sought. Another 19 named in the 7S warrants issued were found to be already under arrest and in custody in other Midwest cities authorities said.
