W. G. AVERY TO HEAD COUNTRY CLUB THIS YEARW. G. Avery was elected president of the Statesville Country Club at a meeting held last week. Other officers elected for the ensuing year are as follows: James A* Brady,tvice president; Clyde Johnson, reelected secretary and treasurer; June Scarborough, Billy Gilliam, Gordon WalUvce, Mrs. G. E. Montague, Mrs. Ralph Holmes and Mrs. Flake Sherrill entertainment committee.Officers of the country club look forward to a very successful year, and have arranged for a membership drive.
