Furry, Alva Frank and Leslie Broom were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Dohogne of Chaffee Sunday. Martha Haw, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. A. P. Haw, fell off her bicycle and broke the lower process of bone in the upper left arm. Mr. and Mrs. J. Sherwood Smith, Mrs. M. E. Montgomery and Mrs. O. L. Spencer attended an installation service of the White Shrine at Cape Girardeau Monday night. Rev. David Hogan, of the Sllmno Assembly of God, was a Democrat caller Tuesday. He said they had 216 in Sunday school the 8th.ith him were O. S. Billingsley and Ernest Tyler, workers in his church. Announcements have been received here of the marriage of Miss Hilda Bertha Kern, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kern, to Ralph Felthaus at Detroit, Mich, April 7th. The bride is a granddaughter of A. H. Schoen of Benton. Miss Winifred Eldridge went to Dexter Friday morning with others from the Teachers College in Cape Girardeau to judge the commercial events in the Stoddard county literary meet. Other judges were: Mrs. E. H. Newmeyer, Nelda Prather, Clifford Chewing and Mildred Adame.
