C. OF C. MEETING ;Thirty-five members of the Ligon-ierjrfft amber of Commerce met at the Philadelphia Cafe today at noon. The first order of business presented was that of the proposed community | building. Mr. Beale who has been; active in working up interest in the matter w’afc again present. While there is plendid enthusiasm, in regard to getting a community house for 1 lngonier, there was a distinct note of ; u.ution noticeable, as to giving endorsement to any particular plan until a more full investigation had been made. President Wood appointed a | committee composed of F. P. Both- I well, T. C. Cass, Roswell Karnhart, j Stanley Stiaus and Wm. Wigton, to j make a full and complete investiga-tion of the matter and report back to the Chamber of Commerce. jDr. C. G. keehn, chairman of the Camping Ground committee render-ed the following report: The committee appointed to investigate the possibility of securing a tourist camp ing ground, begs to report that after ; investigation, think that it would be to the be.-t interests of the city of j l.igonier if a part of what is known ( as Freed’s property, west of the city, he bought and made a part of the . city as a public park, anti lou: i.-i ; camping ground. And with that in j view, that the city council rent that | part of .-aid property at | resent and investigate the proposition with a view of buying the same, if in their wisdom they think they are serving the city’s welfare by so doing.” The j report was adopted and the camping ground committee instructed to wait on the city council for the purpose of laying the matter before them.
