Margaret Caldwell Dafl Captures First Prize in Free-for-All Division— ‘Other Winners Final awards in the poster contest inci dent to the’“Own Your Home” campus which was conducted as a part of the pub licity work of the Oak Park River Forest Own Your Home Association, were made thru the contest committee early this week. The judges were confronted with no easy task in making the final awards, as the posters presented were of a high degree of excellence in all classes In class 1, in which the competition was between pupils in the grade schools of Oak Park and River Forest,the following awards were made: — a first prize—Avis McMullin, 299 Clinton place, River Forest. sO Second prize—Penelope: Schafer, 126 South Taylor. . . Shire prize—Dorothy Wray, 718 North Lom- a Fourth prize—Newell Schafer, 200 North Lom ar In class. 2, in which pupils in the high school drawing and art classes competed, the awards were as follows: First prize—Miriam Arey, 510 South Elmwood. Second prize—Florence H. Gage, Oak Park High School. Third prize—Helen Elliott, 514 North Grove. Fourth prize—Marie H. K. Meyers, 1044 South East avenue. . The third class was open to all contest ants who could not qualify under either of the above classes. Several very fine pieces of work were presented in this class. The one prize given in this class was awarded to Margaret Caldwell Dall. of 118 South East avenue. . The winning posters will be exhibited in the window of F. M. Pebbles Company, decorators, 1107 Lake. Contestants in class 3 may obtain their posters by calling on Mr. Pebbles at his store. The work presented in this contest showed marked artistic ability in poster works and the committee desires to express appreciation to all those who submitted de signs in this contest.
