| Tlie Brave Tliree Hundred.The following account of the charge tuade' by the; 84th,-in which'Col: Murray fell, is from the Hollidaysbarg Standard:,An -order came from Acting-Brigadier Gen. Kimball—“Col. Murray, prepare for a charge !” Col- L then said to the men, “Boys, we have been fooling long enough; we must do something now; we haye blppdy wo^ . O.o. ban ds Immediately afterwards an order came to charge on their' battery.'' At this time, they were half a mile from the foe. They charged up the hill,c'doublequick/' under a most terrific fire from seven pieces of Artillery, pouring grape and canister into their ranks. - They soon gamed the woods on the rise of the hill, immediately under their fire, .where- they . formed into line of battle, and then inarched forward steadily, their gallant Colonel at their bead cheering them—one moment, with cap in hand cheering them on} the next, “Boys, keep cool—“cool as cucumbers—“steadily, onward,- boys,— “when you find yourselves faltering, look to your colors; they are seven to one, but nevermind, boya ! 'Whoa they reached the top of the hill, the rebels poured a terrible volley of Musketry into their midst. This, however, did ■ not prevent them pressing forward- They then halted and poured volley after volley Into.the rebels, who were entrenched behind a stonewall, while they (the 84th) occupied open ground.
