PRINCETON (AP) — Five persons charged in connection with the robbery last Jan. 5 of $300,000 from a Bluefield coal operator’s home were indicted Thursday by the Mercer County grand jury. William (Rabbit) Martin and Rufus Raymond Hampton were indicted on charges of burglary, Dwight Perdue and William T. Christian were indicted for re ceiving stolen property and Betty Ann Byrd was indicted for being an accessory after the fact. All but Mrs. Byrd, a Blue lfield, Va., resident, are from Bluefield. They are charged in connec tion with the robbery of $200,000 last Jan. 5 from the home of C. A. Clyborne. The money, wrapped in packets of crisp $100 bills, belonged to Mrs. Clyborne. ‘None of the money that was hid den in a shoe box has been re covered. A sixth person oriminally ‘charged, Betty Louise Powell of Bluefield, was not indicted by tthe grand jury.
