Attempts Jump From Bank Building Occupants of offices on the eigh teenth floor of the First National Bank building were thrown into an uproar in Monday morning when employers grabbed and held a man who had attempted to leap from one of the windows on the floor. The man, who was held by em ployees until the arrival of police, was in a hysterical condition and was taken to Receiving hospital. James King, 20, worried about conditions in his home, drank some iodine Monday In an unsuccessful attempt to commit suicide, Dominick Piccone, who murdered three farmers last week and kidnap ped a fourth, Wednesday Was sen tenced to a second life term in Jackson Prison and was given a third sentence of 60 to §0 years, the sentences to run consecutively Piccone still faces trial on a third murder warrant. One person who is extremely happy because of his incarceration is Mrs. Joanna J. Johnson ,former recreation teacher in’ Highland Park is now living in Chicago, Mrs. Johnson, who was Piccone’s_trel victim, an assault which resulted in his imprisonment for a period of three years. This person is Mrs. Joanna Johnson, former recreation teacher in Highland Park and now lying in Chicago. It was Mrs. Johnson who was Piccone’s first victim, an as sault which resulted in his impris onment for a period of three years. Mrs. Johnson was kidnapped by Piccone Nov. 29, 1088 as she left her work. She was forced to drive him to Oxford, Piccone, then 16 years of age, struck Mrs. Johnson on the head with the same pistol he used last week to kill one of his victims. The victim later said she was forced to crawl over the show be fore reaching Oxford. She was la ter taken to the hospital in Pon tiac. Captured a short time later Pic cone was identified by Mrs. John son and sentenced to three years in prison. Cassius E. Barber, the sec ond man slain by Piccone, was one of the witnesses at the trial, Barter testifying to the ownership of the revolver which the youth had sto len.
