Fred Weltzin Rites ReadLong’-Time Resident of Jubilee Community Dies on Sundayc—— -Fuifcrnl services were ]jcllt;1 Tuesday afternoon for Fred Weltzin, GG, longtime resident of the Jubilee community, who died ut his home in Fox township Sunday from the effects of a hcait ailment. Prayer services wore held at 1 p, m. in the Parker funeral home at Jesup, followed at 2 p4 m. by services in the Ziun Evangelical Lutheran church at Jubilee. Burin! was ni Jubilee cemetery.Mi%. Weltzin was born June 11, 1873, near Raymond, In 1930 he bought n farm west of Jubilee, and a year Jatci, on May G, he mniried Louis Suhr at -Jubilee. In the spring of 1010 he bought the present farm south of Jesup, where he had Jived ever since.He enjoyed good health until the fall of 1937. when he was bedfast for six weeks with a heart ailment. He suffered another attack late in December the following year, but had recovered enough to continue bis regular activities. A third attack came Wednesday last week.Surviving are his wife and three children, Mrs. John Mjllei of Clinton, William Weltzin of Morrison, 111., and Reuben Weltzin at homo. An infant (laughter, Ruth Emma, preceded him in death.Also surviving are a sister and two brothers, Mrs. Henry Hoppe of La Porto City, Herman Weltzin of Jesup and John Weltzin of La Porte City.Mr. Weltzin was a life-long member by baptism of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran congregation at Jubilee, and an active participant for many years in community and church activities.R.
