One man ta=i killedahd the property loss is estimated at$10,000.Dr. Sttabbenger, a phvsician, lost hia.life in a rooming house where he. was as’eep and where th^fire.pKinated. The.flames,. after destroying the', rooming house, destroyed the Broyfrn News,opojpanv’s stand and wiped out a,row of frame buildings a block in length. '. Two restaurants, two pool halls 'and two barber .shops were among the buildings destroyed. The loss is a severe one to Watts as the town is less than d yepr old, haying been founded by the Kansas City Soutbr’ern railroad when it removed its division point from S til well.
