From a private letter written by Mrs. John Blue, formerly of Ferry, Iowa, we learn that she and her hus* band and family have lately moved to Boise City, Idaho, whither her parents, Mr* and Mrs. C. B. Mecum of Perry, and formerly of Washington township, expect soon to move. Mrs. Blue says “Boise City is atown of about 7000 inhabitants, with%large brick blocks, and fine brickheadquarters for a branch of theregular army that is located here.Grass in the door-yards is aboutsix inches high. The weather isabout like May in Iowa. We leavethe doors open, and the childrenplay in the yard all day without anywraps. Cattle have been feeding in the pastures for some time, andthe sheep have all been taken to thehills. This is a great fruit country, apples, peaches and small fruit growin abundance. ”
