■aim E—g* legakllru.We learn by a dispatch from .Hun. John 8. Chapman that at the election in Baton Kongo for mayor, yesterday, the Repub lican candidate, Mr. L. Brahill, was elected by fifteen majority.The election was quietly conducted, and that fact accounts for the result.Last week the Democrats elected the city marshal and treasurer and four of the six selectmen by a small majority. One of the Republican candidates for selectmen was defeated then by only one vote.
