The “work ing men’s” ticket received from ten k twenty votes, which were drawn princi pally from the democratic party, anc had the effect to defeat a real working man and farmer on the democratic ticket to elect a whig in the village who is e working man only in name. Messrs. Brigham, Dodge, Williamson, Parker, Shackelford and Collins of the whigs, and Seymour of the democrats, were on the “ working men’s” ticket.— Setting aside these, and the vote shows a democratic majority of between 20 and 30.
