efsRetirementGerald Seida of South Holland was honored for his 23 years of service as an employee of Elizabeth Seton high school. The retirement party was at Glenwood Oaks restaurant in Glenwood. In addition, Mr. and Mrs Seida were celebrating their wedding anniversary.During the retirement party, Sister Teresa Marie Laengle, principal, presented a plaque and gift to Seida, honoring him for 23 years of service. Seida was hired immediately after the building was erected in 1963 and has served as head engineer. His last day at Seton was February 7, when he was honored with a farewell party by faculty and staff.Sister Teresa Marie said, “I am not only speaking for myself but on the behalf of the entire Seton community when I say that Gerald Seida will be greatly missed. He was a part of the Seton family. His track record of time, dedication and service are highly commendable and won’t soon be forgotten.“We wish Mr. Seida much happiness, and we hope that he will enjoy his much-deserved retirement.”
