In an effort 19 raise funds to purchase vaccine for mass m eulations against = German measles (Rubella), the Elimi nate Rubella Committee has ar ranged 4 blood, bank program from 1:30-8:30 pan, Tuesday in Memorial General Hospital. The blood bank will pay $5 in the fund for each pint of blood, donated in the name of the Ru bella Fund. Through his pro gram, the committee hopes to help reach the goal of $4500 needed to give the Inocula tions in May. According to committee chair man Mrs. Rosalind Grizzell, the comitttee hopes that the fund raising drive will provide a free injection for every child in the county. A key point in eliminating Rubella, immunizing young chil dren, the carriers, will minimize the possibility of Rubella reach ing epidemic proportions in 1970. A leading cause of birth de fects, Rubella is most dangerous if contracted during the first, three months of pregnancy. Paul Replaces Brown Elza Paul, a 20-year employe of the Zia Company, recently re placed H. F. Brown as project manager at the Apollo, “Site. Brown is now serving as vice president and he has opened the focal Zia’ Company Corporate’ Offices, 1700 N. Main.
