BLACKBURN APPOINTEDJudge Marvin Blackburn of Junction, judge of the Second 38th District Court has been appointed by Governor Preston Smith as presiding judge of the A d ministrative J udicial District for a four year term. Judge Blackburn takes the place of Judge Roger Thurmond of Del Rio, who recently passed away.The District extends from Bexar County to El Paso County and includes Bandera County.Judge Blackburn's duties will include the appointment of judges to serve in various areas of the Sixth District which encompasses 25 counties. He will also continue as jurist of the Second 38th Court.
