Riders Nip * Reddiesj ARKADELPHIA (Special) -,c Southern State chalked up its second victory of '(he year here Thursday afternoon when the Muleriders downed Henderson,I 5-3. in an AIC game.The Riders picked up two unearned runs in the fifth inning wrhen Ronnie LeMay hit into center field and drove in a run* on an error. LeMay went to third on the rror and then came in on another error.Henderson picked up an unearned run in the sixth on an error, stolen base and a single by Van Ball Homers by SSC’s Hez Elkins in the seventh and Ed Bacon in the eighth pushed the Riders into a comfortable lead The Muleriders picked up their fifth run on an error and a stolen base and a single by Don Williams.Henderson got two runs in the bottom of the eighth on a base on balls, on infield hit and two errors.Charles Jones took the win, scattering four hits and striking out 13.Henderson is 1-6 and Southern State is 2-7 for the year.
