Gainesville, Ga. — A Fannin county boy who likes to collect El vis Presley records and play the sax is the Ninth District spelling chapm, Phil Plemmons, a 7th grader at McCaysville Elementary school, turned in a perfect paper in the 100 word written contest. He confided afterward to his chaperone, Fannin County Instruc tional Supervisor Miss Arkie Cook that he had been a bit uneasy about “zephyr” and “adaptability” He needn't have been.
