Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Stallman, 405 E. Kirkwood, who have lived to fifty years on the same street, are observing their 50th wedding anni versary today. The event was cele brated Sunday both in their own home and in the home of one of their two daughters, Mrs. Floyd Lynn. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn and the other son-in-law and daughter, Mr and Mrs. H. C. Welch of Ottumwa were hosts at a family dinner at noon . During the dinner hour, a ca was received from Mrs. Stiliman brother and family, Mr. and M. Jake Ziliman of Carm. Ninety guests signed the guest book during the open house that afternoon. As grandson, Richard Lynn met the guests at the Goo and Mrs. Richard Lynn usher them into the dining room Ms Stallman wore a corsage of yellow carnations and Stallman a mach ing boutonniere. The flowers were gifts of two grandchildren, Chart and Patricia Weicn M. Wich had charge of the guest book. The book, bound in gold roe, was a gift of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Lynn The couple received a large num ber of bouquets, gifts and meccine of congratulation The table was covered with lace cloth, centered with yellow jonquils, snapdragons and lptie yellow tapers, placed on wold dent Individual cakes, iced in yellow were served with nuts and mists Two large angel food cake: Were baked by the daughters, one teed i white and topped with a miniature bridal couple and the other, teed in yellow and decorated with yellow and pink roses Helping serve were M. Flora Munro, the only guest who we present at the wedding tiy year ago and Alethea Gilly, cousin of Mrs. Stallman, and Mr Frei Stallman, sister-in-law. Helping | the kitchen were Mr Robert Burke, neighbor for eveh year and Mrs. Ed Zillman, a nce During the afternoon, an ann ual bit of poetry, written by Mr Munro as a tribute to the honored couple, Was read Guests from out of town were Mr and Mrs. E. J. Zilhman and chil dren of Windthorst, Tex.; Mr. and Mrs. FE. K. Litchenbereer and MM» and Mrs. Herman Vollemwider and Kenneth, all of Callaway, Neb, Lu cas Zihiman, Mr. Pleasant, Pete Jake and Berton Zihimin and Mr Pauline Stewart of Buehlio and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Rooth and Emma Lou of Ottumwa
