Three Fire AlarmsOver WeekendAfter weeks of inactivity, the fire pumper made three runs over the weekend Friday morning it was called out about 10 o’clock to extin-uish a large weed fire at the Rob-rt Callaghan property on the Fayetteville road. The hay and straw was insured, but not the buildings Origin of the fire was unknown, but it is believed it started from spontaneous combustion.VILLAGE TO GET $1500FOR ENGINEERING FEES*%IAt Monday night’s meeting of the village board, Clerk Robert Browning rt ad a letter he had received from the IlLnois Post War Planning Commission in answer to his inquiry if the Village would not be entitled to engineering fees for the building of the new diesel electric plant in accordance with rules of the com- [ mission.
