PINE BLUFFS, Wyo., April 6.— The wisdom of maintaining a night watchman at the local elevators was demonstrated last Friday night when Special Officer Merritt frustrated what appeared to be an attempt to do damage to the buildings. About 1:30 a. m., Mr. Merritt saw a MAN approach the west elevator and fumbled at the main door, . Mr. Merritt approached the man, asking him what he wanted. At first the miscreant refused to answer, but finally said he was looking for his partner, at the same moment draw ing a knife.
