DEATH OFAGED HISSIONARYPITTSBUKG, April 8.Word lias been received by the United Presbyterian Board of Foreign Mission of the death in Cairo, Egypt, of the Rev. I)r. Samuel Currie Ewing,77 years old, said to bo the oldest missionary in the world both in age and point of service.Doctor Ewing was licensed by th Allegheny Presbytery, United Presbyterian Church, Aprii 13, 1859, and ordained in the same Presbytery as missionary to Egypt the following year. Westminster College gave him the degree of doctor of divinity in 1884. In 1880 he was a delegato from Egypt to the Pau-Presbyterian Connoil in Philadelphia.
