Artf ACT fo revive and amend an act to incut-porate tlac Western »'iiuual l';re Insurance Company, at Prnric du Cliicn. and the Howard Fire Insuraoee Company, of Brown county.Be it enacted by the Council and House of Representatives of the Territory of Wisconsin, as follows:Sec. 1. The net entitled “an act to incorporate the Western Mutual Fire Insurance Company, at Prairie du Cliicn. and the Howard Fire Insurance Company, of Brown county.” approved Feb. 19th, 1841, is hereby declared to be revived and continued in force, as fully and effectually as if the provisions of the said act had been complied with, within or at the times therein specified.Sec. 2. James Bass, Sylvester Grid-ley, Irvin O’Harra. Lewis W.Link, IVm. Martin, Ezra Adams, Frank Washburn, Hercules L.Dousmau, and Curtis Beach, and all other persons who shall become associated with them, in the manner prescribed in the act of which this is amendatory, arc hereby declared to be incorporated and made a body politic by the name of “The Western Mutual Fire Insurance Company,” and shall be subject to all the provisions of the act hereby revived, continued and amended.Sec. 3. John Lawe. Daniel Whitney.A. J. Irwin, Hcnrv S. Baird, Morgan L,. MsirHti Tnhn T* A^ndf Willinm Dickinson, Joseph. Poquctte. and Charles A. Grignon, and all other persons who may become associated with them in the manner prescribed m mo act or wiucn nmendatorv. are hereby declared to be incorporated and become a bodv politic by the name of “The Howard Mutual Fire Insurance Company,” and shall be subject to all the provisions of the act hereby revived, continued and amended.Sec. 4. The first election of directors shall take place on the fourth Saturday of May next, for the company named in the second section of this act at such place- in the town of Plattevill© as the directors named therein shall appoint: and for the. company named in the third j section of this act at such place in the town of Green Bay as the directors named therein shall appoint; and thereafter the annual elections shall be held at such places within, the Territory, and at such times (not less than ten nor more than fourteen months from the last annual election) as the directors may appoint.Sec. 5. The first and tenth sections, and so much of any other section of the act hereby intended to be revived, con- -* tinned, and amended, as conflicts with the provisions of this act, are hereby repealed.
