Past recipients of the Trophy include: Dr. James Robinson, of Crossroads Africa; The Honorable Thurgood Marshall; Dr. Mary Church Te-rell; Earl Hyman; Louis Peterson; and The Errol Garner Trio. 1As HUD deputy administrator in Region 1, Mrs. Roberts is responsible for a * wide range of HUD activ-NCCJhRoy Wilkinsities in the states of NewYork, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Maine, Vermont and New Hampshire. This position caps a career which began with a position as a relocation officer for the Housing and Home Finance Agency, HUD’s predecessor.Mrs. Roberts is widely recognized within her profession and has twice been cited on a national level. In 1962 she received the Housing and Home Finance Agency Outstanding Performance Award, and in 1967 she was one of six women who received the Federal Women’s Award.In addition, Mrs. Roberts was recently named Woman of the Year for 1968 by the National Urban League..A graduate of the University of Cincinnati (A.B., M.A.), Mrs. Roberts is married and has three daughters.
