CHAPMAN-PHILLIPPE* ■4“Miss Helen Louise Chapman and*Marshall Phillippe were married last Sunday afternoon, April 3d, at the home of the bride, 606 South Hanna street. Rev. Fayette Vernon, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, officiated, reading the double ring ceremony before the immediate families of the principals.The attendants were Mrs. A. L.Burdette of Chicago, sister of the»bride; Miss Beatrice, Doty, William Phillippe, brother of the groom, and Arthur L. Burdette. The bride worea navy blue suit with matching accessories. A dinner was served preced-•ing the ceremony, the table being attractively centered with a ^basket of Columbia roses.Mrs. Phillippe is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. A. L. Chapman, and has spent her life here, being a graduate of the local high school. She is a* • iwell-known nurse, receiving her training at Brokaw hospital, and was for some time with the McLean CountyTuberculosis Sanitarium. • Mr. Phillippe is the son of Rev. and Mrs. William A. Phillippe of Martinsville, Illinois, and is studying electrical and aeronautic engineering at Wesleyan. He was with the 33d division two years—one of which was spent in France and the other in Germany with the army of occupation. Mr.Phillippe is a member of the Phi Mu%Epsilon fraternity and Glee Club. Mr. and Mrs. Phillippe are at home totheir friends at 606 South Hannastreet.
