I CMFourth Year Men to Appear Next Week in Black and White Knit Ties. The “Senior fclass^ Distinctive Garb Campaign” started in earnest today. The committee on dress is making a personal canvass of the fourth year men and. taking orders for the ties. The “Drive” officially opened at seven o'clock this morning and will continue untjl the class has reached the 100 percent mark.Because of the unsettled conditions and late organization of the class, it was voted to change the official men's garb this spring and substitute for the corduroy/trousers a distinctive tie to meet the requirements of the wearer better than the aricient “buckskins/* which were worn only in the winter and discarded at the first signs of spring anlt;T warm weather. A black and white knit tie has been selected by the men.The women decided that it was their duty also to show/ class patriotism, and selected for their distinctive dress a “middy” tie. War proved that the women can be depended upon to do their bit in time of need, arid be just as patriotic as the men, and the orders only prove that they are now denying themselves the small luxuries and purchasing the official garb.Helen Trent as chairman of the committee, is compiling a list of the seniors and will soon have rounded up all the class in a personal campaign. The committee has already received several Benior orders and is confident that the entire class will create a sensation next week when they appear on the campus wearing the distinctive garb. All seniors wishing to place their orders should give their names to any of the committee, consisting of Helen Trent, Lloyd Shepard, Janies Ensh-welter, Elmore Sturgis and James In-* «!«•bethrou the n Depa he d depai quick has i Benji men.Th defin arrar tire ] The Cam] will i mobi .units of tl be ai ion s fore said, he a piucl unit.MO]Dist]Mlt;in tl Sthc sent a fe last frorr ingh Mich ter ] Jack froir coun ferslt; A cong be h test? wim Themm
