JCK: J ACii.su JN, CAJRailway Projects to Develop Resources ofAmador County.Sutter Creek, April 4.—The proposed electric railroad from lone to Sutter Creek and Jackson is soon to be a reality. San Francisco capitalists have visited thi6 county and have become convinced that to build a railroad to the mineral belt would prove a paying investment. Articles of incorporation of the Amador Traction Company have been filed with the Secretary of State, and the officers are: President, Levingston Jonks; Vice President, H. C. Tilden; Treasurer, James J. Fagan, (Vice-President of the American National Bank of San Francisco) and Goneral Manager, Jackfeon Dennis. All the men named are of San Francisco, excepting Mr. Dennis, who is a banker of Sutter Creek. The directors are: Levingstou Jenks, H. C. Tilden, Jas. J. Fagan, C. K. Harley and Jackson Dennis.The incorporation is for $500,000, there being 5000 shares at $100 each. The directors named are shareholders, but the principal capitalists in the deal are C. K. Harley. H. C. Tilden and Levingston Jenks. The smaller stockholders are of San Francisco and New York. Bonds will be issued, but mostly will be taken up by the directors themselves.The building of a railway from the terminus of the Southern Pacific to the mineral belt will mean a great deal for the future prosperity of Amador county.
