Associated Press DENVER — A man who stalked a woman from Arizona to Colorado and then spied on her from a hole he drilled from a crawl space through her bathroom floor was sen tenced Thursday to nearly six years in prison. Denver County Judge Doris E. Burd said Steven Gordon, 37, “doesn't appear to have any insight into his crimes and doesn’t appear to have any sense of responsibility for what (his) behavior has pro duced in these matters.” Burd gave Gordon consecu tive sentences on 11 counts, for a total of five years, nine months in prison. Gordon was convicted March 20 of tres passing, harassment, at tempted third-degree sexual assault and violating a re straining order. The charges stemmed from his relentless pursuit of a 27- year-old woman he met in Scottsdale, Ariz., and followed to Denver. An angry Gordon shouted at the victim after he was sentenced. “What you have just seen here is an actress,” Gordon said as he left the courtroom. The victim had pleaded that Gordon be imprisoned. “It is impossible for me to lead a normal life when Mr. Gordon is stalking me,” the woman said. Gordon met the woman in Scottsdale and followed her to Denver, where he moved into the same southeast Denver apartment complex as the woman. Witnesses testified that he used a crawl space under the woman's apartment to drill a peephole through her bath room vanity and spy on her.
