Ada High School has schedul ed something new and different April 27, literally an evening of fine arts. The “evening” includes an art exhibit, fashion show and dinner theatre. All the events are scheduled in the school’s student center. At 6 p.m., students of David Logsdon, AHS art instructor, will show samples of their work. At 6:30 p.m., patrons will be served dinner by stu dents in the foods class of the home economics department. Curtain time for Woody Al len’s ‘“‘Don’t Drink the Water” is 7:30 p.m. The fashion show, featuring students of the clothing class in the home ec department, is scheduled for intermission of the popular comedy. All home ec students are un der the supervision of Mrs. Bet ty Townsend. The play is a joint project of the speech department and Thespians Club with Mrs. Gwy nell Maxwell as director and Mrs. Phyliss Younts, assistant director. Only 120 people can be ac commodated for the Saturday evening performance. Tickets for all the activities are $4. Reservations may be made with any art or home or student or member of the Thespians Club. For those unable to make the Saturday night affair, a second performance is tentatively sch eduled Sunday. It includes the two-act comedy and art show. Tickets for Sunday are $1 for adults and 50 cents for students. The comedy will be presented from a special portable stage, constructed by students of the industrial arts department un der Joe Pryor. Cast members in the drama tic production are Joel Stafford, Buddy Walsh, Patty Walsh, Ba rry Bonar, Mari Lea Danley, Bobby Miller, Carol Bryant, Zenda Chapman, Dennis Dun nigan, Byron Herrington, Kim Bunyard, John Niles, and Bren da Kaebnick. Stage manager is Pam Tharp. Members of the Thespians Club will serve as ushers. A total of 37 girls will be featured in the style show and 24 other girls will serve food to those attending.
