W. W. Hawkins Pioneer Citizen,Dies YesterdayW. W. Hawkins, age 80, one of the oldest citizens of Halifax County, and p prominent farmer, died at his home mar Hawkins Chapel this Wednesday afternoon.Mr. Hawkins was one of the old pioneers of the county, having been born and reared here and has many i datives and family connections in the county. Immediate members of the family are the following1 children: Mrs. Birdie Hawkins, Howard, Jack, Wyatt, Roger and Fitzhugh Hawkins. A half brother, Squire Culllom, also survives.Funeral arrangements had not been made yesterday but members of the family stated the services would be ander the direction of Rev. P. E. Bing, ham, pastor at Hawkins Chapel Church, with interment in that cemetery.
