W. H. Harrington, of Harlingen, Buried Monday(Special to the ilcr aid.)HARLINGEN’. Tex.. April 7. Funeralart vices were held at the First Met ho dist church here W'terdny afternoon for \V. H. Harrington, ape 72, one of the best known residents c.f thin section, who died at hi* home in Harlingen Sunday at noon.Hundreds of friend* of the deceased and his family from vanoi s parts of the Valley were present at the funeral services being conducted l*v Rev. J. VT. Ferry, paster of th? First Methodi*t church here, assisted hv Rev. O. P. Crop-, pastor of the Methodist church at Brownsville, and Rev. J. H. Lovett presiding eider of the Brownsville district.Mr. Harrington was born in Blanco county. Texas. December 5. 1862, being erne of Texas* pioneer residents, andcoming from n pioneer family. He sj»ent most of his life in Central Texas, marrting Mis* Helen Harriet Smith in 18?3. and coming to the Valley with his wife who survive* him, more than ten years ago. He has made hi* home at Harlingen since that time.He is survived by his mother, who lives with the family here, and is now P4 yea is of age. e:eht brothers, three sisters. ’ ne children. l'J grandchildren, and two gr»*at grandchildren.Ten children were horn to Mr. and Mrs. Harrington, nine of them girl*, and one boy. Of this number eight daughters and one -on are surviving. They are: Mrs. W. II. Richie. Oran; eGrove, Texas: Mrs. II. F. McLeod. Harlingen; Mrs. .1. L. Latham, Tucson, Arizona; Mrs. P. II. H; ynes. Alamagorda. New Mexico; Mrs. .1 H. Riddell, Round Mountain, Texas; Mrs. .|. E. \S attwood, Auxvas'e. Mo.; J. Walton Harrington. Mountain Air. New Mexico; Mrs. \\. H. Elmoic. Dallas; and Mrs. R. M. Chau-doin, Harlingen.During Ins residence in the Valley. Mr. Harrington made a host of friend*.
