City Going Ahead WithThe Board of Aldermen last night, at its last meeting until after Easter, voted lo authorise routine procedure designed to extend the Frederick city limits on the south to the line of the Frederick Freeway. The .annexation move has already been recommended by the City Planning Commission.It was stressed that a public hearing will be held on the subject before the southern bulge becomes a part or the corpora, tion.Mayor Jacob R. Ramsburg gave assurance that a public hearing will also be held on another pending move of citywlde importance, approval of the Ivmd Use Plan recently approved by the city planning body. The Land Use Plan is only a part of what will eventually become the city's Master Plan to guide the municipality’strowth and development, lection June ItIn addition to other actions in which the city moved ahead with plans to remodel City Hail and also purchase property of the T. Edgie Russell Company for use —of_4hocity government, the al-dermanic group last night;1. Accepted recommendations of the Board of Election Supervisors for handling of the Municipal election, to be held on Tuesday, June 12. Voting will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., with the National Guard Armory designated as the central voting place.2. Confirmed the promotion of Officer J. Frank Main Jr. to the rank of corporal in the Frederick City Police Department. The promotion, announced on the basis of a competitive examination in which 13 officers participated, fills a vacancy left by the resignation of Corporal Charles Bare in 1881.
