Mrs. LaValley had a stroke of ♦paralysis, on March 25, cailsgd by a blood clot on the brain. She lapsed into unconsciousness on Friday and ^ never rallied. The body was pre-, pared for shipment by My. Ralph Bray of the Brower undertaking parlors, Sandpoint. Her son, J. N. LaValley accompanied the fexnains to' Fergus Falls, Minn.., their .!former home, where the burial was to take place on Saturday, April 3rd.Mrs. La Valley, whose maiden name was^ Rainey,^ was^born In La Col**, parish near MpntrealT^Canada, -on Dec; 3,-1838** She was married to Prosper La Valley on June 24, 1858, in the same, parishes she' was born, and lived there until 186.6, when they moved to Burr Oak, Iowa. From Iowa they moved to a homestead at Maplewood, Minn., and lived there until the death -of Mr. La Valley in August, 1911.There were eleven children born to Mr. and Mrs. La Valley, six of whom are still living. They are: Prosper, jr., George, William and. Mrs. E. T. 'Lyle of Montana; Lewis of Maplewood, Minn?, and Joseph (Pony) of Careywood.Mrs. La Valley came to live with her son, J. N. La Valley, in aJnu-ary, 1912, and*made her home with him until her death. She leaves a host of friends in* this vicinity.
