Three cast members were also presented Individual trophoes for excellence in performance. Those receiving this special all-star cast recognition wer e Sheri Simpson, Paul Ledet, and Charles Gentz, Other cast members Included Gene Heagan and Donny Simon.Stage Manager for the East Chambers production was Jay me Shadden, and the alternates were Sabrina Stratton and Mitch Hankins. Other crew members were Bobby Lee, who was in charge of the set; Donna Willis, who secured the stage properties;■ laire O’Nleli, costume mistress; David Campbell, musical co-ordinator; and Annette Spencer, make-up.Other trophy winners included ‘ Look Homeward, Angel,” presented by Dayton, and third place honors went to ‘ Caesar and Cleopatra,” presented by Hamshlre-Fan-nett. In addition to the three plays previously mentioned, other plays presented were ‘•MacBeth,” Anahuae; ‘‘The Hocking - Horse Winner”, Kountz; ' Antic Spring,” Hull-Daisetta; and ‘‘The Lesson”, Orangefleld.Louise Heckaman, Ham-shire - Fannett High School Junior, was Judged ‘Best Actress” in the UIL One-Act Play Competition, with Bruce Holbrook of Dayton High School won First Place at the School being named‘ Best Actor”. Several cases were on the docket, all of them civil, but none of them came to trial that morning.However, they were privileged to hear Judge Clarence Cain of the 75th District Court instruct the panel oi Jurors as to its duties, and the honor bestowed upon them being selected to serve. Judge Cain’s remarks Impressed the class, which felt the trip was well worth hearing them.Following the court session, the class visited Fort Anahuae Park and located the site of the old Mexican Fort of 1832. It was hard to realize that the bricks Imbedded in the earth have been there for 140 years.It Is hoped that a visit to a session of the Commissioners Court and other county Offices will be possible before the school year is over.The students are members of the Government and Texas History Classes. Mr. Vaughn McDonald accompanied them.
