Lovers of Gilbert and Sulllv;.a Ml of mortals who are a race apart and proud of tt~*paent a very pleasant evening last night at tho Whitt Plaint Meeting House, Maple and Longview avenues. wh«*« the F .reside Players presented “The Yeoman of the Guard“ by the lm-m trial English words - and - music lean. The performance will be repeated tonight and tomorrow night.Directed by Caroline Beeson Fry and J .'oily Robb the production la part of the twelfth season of the local, ai. nteur acting group and proved a fortunate choice. The women led the men In both respect* with Blanche Lamb aa Dame Caxruther* I housekeeper to the Tower) giving perhaps the most finished performance and showing the'.best understanding of the G and 8. spirit. .Noticeable in an amateur f»r*t night was the lack of any conspicuous falling-down by any performer.
