Friends Of Library Elects New Officers At Recent MeetingFriends of the Library met Thursday, March 30. in the National Room of the First National Bank to elect new officers.President Walter Riley presided. Minutes of the last annual meeting were read by the Secretary. Mrs. Bill Vincent, followed by reports from Treasurer, Jim Frye; Membership Chairman. Mrs. Francis Felty; Publicity. Mrs. John 1 rookman: and Mrs. Jack Smith, Financial Chairman.oiganized by civic-mindeH citizens who believed our town would be a betier place in which to live if it had a first-; rate library and then proceeded ftThe slate of nominees for office was presented by Chairman of the Nominating Commit tee. Mrs. Francis Felty and was unanimously accepted.Elected to seive for the 1967-68 term, were Rev. Don Youngblood. President; Cliff Wampler. Vice President; Secretary. Mrs. Ted Roark. Jim Frye will complete the second year of a two year term as Treasurer.Passing the gavel to Rev. Youngblood. Wa'uer Rilev stepped down as President after expressing his appreciation to the members for their participation during his office and recalling the history of the organization.Cliff Wampler succeeds La-moin Champ as Vice President and Mrs. Ted Roark accepted the books from Past Secretary, Mrs. Bill VincentMrs. Jack Smith was re-elected Finicial Chairman.
