The fifth annual Booker T. Washington Birthday dinner sponsored by the Maryland Asso ciation for the Promotion of Business will be held at the Masonic Temple on Thursday April 9, Reginald A. Gardner, president, announced this week through Willard W. Allen. Samuel Plato, president of the Plato Construction Company, now erecting a million-dollar de fense housing project at Spar rows Point, is to be presented by Mr. Allen. Also listed as a speak er is Emmet Lancaster of the De partment of Commerce in Wash ington. Mr. Allen told the AFRC on Wednesday that special invitations have been extended to members of the Washington Chamber of Commerce.
