Mayor Rejects Proposal, Limiting City Expansion for Present Year. The proposal to annex Natty dale to Syracuse was rejected yes terday by the city administration. Mayor Charles G. Hanna sae that the city will have taken over about ad kt can handle this year with an nexation of Eastwood. Onondaga Valley, the Genesee Manor tract, and portion of the town of Salina and Dewitt, just herts of Eastwood. Onondaga County weislaters at Albany told Mayor Panna yester day afternoon that the annexation this, with the possible exception of Mattydale, are certain of early pas sage in both Houses. The four tracts to be taken in will add about 16 square miles to the city giving it a total of 29 square miles. It is expected to bring the popu lation of the greater city up to 200,604.
