The annual appropriation ordinance was finally passed at this meeting.Figuring from a tax levy of 20 mills with all other sources of revenue, excepting some small items,; the total revenues for the next year would be $9,388.00. This ordinance establishes the grade in Lukens addition.Dr. R. W. Auld made the council a donation of $7.20.Tile Blackford building next the Art Studio was leased for city offices and fire department for a period of three years at $30 per month.Au addition is to be built on the north side of the building for the fire fighting equipment. The city clerk and treasurer will have their offices in the back end of the building and the council room will be in front. The building owned by the city will be moved onto the back end of the lot and will be used for sleeping quarters for the firemen.A notice to citizens to have their premises cleaned up by the first of May utider penalty of having the city do the work for them and charge it up to the property was ordered to be published.The chief of police was instructed to have all property owners with gates swinging on the sidewalk change them so that the gate will swing the other way.
